Manually segmenting cortical lesions in multiple sclerosis (MS) is time-consuming with only moderate inter-rater reliability. To address this, the CLAIMS (CLAIMS: Cortical Lesion AI-Based Assessment in Multiple Sclerosis) framework was developed for automated detection and classification of MS lesions using 7 T MRI, achieving a 74% true positive rate and outperforming the previous MSLAST technique. CLAIMS demonstrated superior performance across different MRI scanners and protocols, making it a promising tool for clinical decision support in MS diagnosis.
