Weightbearing cone beam computed tomography (WBCT) is increasingly used for foot and ankle diagnoses, but its extensive 3D data can be time-consuming to analyze manually. This study evaluated an AI-based tool for automatically measuring the M1-M2 intermetatarsal angle (IMA) in hallux valgus (HV), finding that the AI-generated measurements strongly correlated with manual ones and were highly reproducible, while significantly reducing the time required. The AI tool shows promise for routine clinical use, though further improvements are needed for cases involving hardware in the foot.
