Mirai is an AI tool trained across seven hospitals in five countries to predict breast cancer risk by analyzing patterns in imaging, offering a more personalized and accurate assessment than traditional methods. It is first tested retrospectively on past patient data to ensure accuracy before being used prospectively in real-time clinical settings. While doctors remain the final decision-makers, MIRAI enhances their risk assessment by detecting subtle image-based patterns that may not be visible to the human eye.
